Rocky Reflections
In "Rocky Reflections," the serene beauty of nature is captured in vivid detail. A crystal-clear river flows gracefully, its transparency revealing the intricate patterns beneath. Majestic rocks stand steadfast along the riverbank, their reflections shimmering on the water's surface. The surrounding lush, thick bushes are adorned with colorful blossoms, adding a vibrant touch to the tranquil scene. This painting invites viewers to immerse themselves in the peaceful harmony of nature, where the solidity of rocks meets the gentle flow of water, creating a perfect reflection of life's balance.

Assemblage & Construction
Collaborated with my students to produce a unique sofa made entirely from waste plastic bottles. This project was not only an exercise in creativity and teamwork but also an educational experience highlighting the importance of recycling and sustainability. After weeks of collecting bottles, planning the design, and assembling the pieces, we proudly presented the finished sofa at a Parent Teacher Association (P.T.A) meeting. The parents were impressed by the ingenuity and craftsmanship of the students. They had the opportunity to interact with the art piece, sitting on the sofa and appreciating its comfort and durability. The project sparked meaningful conversations about environmental responsibility and showcased the potential of upcycled materials in everyday objects. It was a rewarding experience for the students and a memorable moment for the parents, emphasizing the value of hands-on learning and community involvement in environmental initiatives.

River in the woods
The "River in the Woods" painting captures the serene beauty of a thick green forest with a river running through its heart. The lush greenery of the trees is perfectly mirrored in the calm waters, creating a harmonious blend of nature's colors. This painting is inspired by the works of Alexander Dzigurski, a renowned old-fashioned painter known for his masterful use of brush strokes to bring nature scenes to life. Through intricate detailing and vibrant hues, this artwork transports viewers to a tranquil woodland sanctuary, evoking a deep appreciation for the natural world.
'Trotro' Driver (Pen)
In Ghana, a "trotro" driver is someone who operates a shared minibus or van, which serves as a primary mode of public transportation for many Ghanaians. These vehicles, often privately owned and operated, follow specific routes and pick up passengers along the way. Trotros are known for their affordability and efficiency in navigating both urban and rural areas, despite their often crowded and bustling nature.
The pen illustration I have created vividly depicts a scene familiar to many Ghanaians: a trotro driver engaging with passengers who are attempting to bargain after being dropped off at their destination. The driver, steadfast and determined, is seen charging his customers, while the passengers, despite carrying a significant amount of load that warrants additional charges, try to negotiate for a lower fare.
This artwork captures the dynamic and often lively interaction between trotro drivers and their passengers. The intricate pen strokes convey the intensity of the negotiation process, highlighting the cultural nuances of daily life in Ghana. The illustration not only showcases the vibrant hustle and bustle of trotro transportation but also reflects the economic realities and resilient spirit of the Ghanaian people.

Lion of Judah
"The 'Lion of Judah' painting draws inspiration from a popular TV advertisement by Apostle Eric Nyamekye, Chairman of the Church of Pentecost Worldwide, which emphasizes the need for Christians to 'roar' in prayer to effect change in their lives. The artwork is also rooted in the biblical reference to Christ as the Lion of Judah (Revelation 5:5). This symbolism implies that Christians, as co-heirs with Christ, possess the potential to make powerful impacts through prayer. The painting captures the lion's grandeur, courage, strength, confidence, and unstoppable nature, mirroring the attributes of those who 'roar' in faith."
Sleeping child
The concept of 'The Sleeping Child' is inspired by the famous song 'Sleeping Child' by the pop band Michael Learns to Rock. The song evokes themes of innocence and the profound, peaceful sleep that children experience when they feel safe and protected. This idea highlights the purity and serenity that come with a child's deep sleep, reflecting a sense of security and care.

Textile design (The Heart Language)
"DWANNIMMEN" which means RAMS HORN
A symbol of concealment, Humility and Strength, wisdom and learning. it depicts two rams butting heads, at bird’s eye view.
THE HEART LANGUAGE
The ram will fight fiercely against an adversary, but it also submits humbly to slaughter, emphazing that even the strong needs to be humble. The symbol captures these opposite qualities of the ram; meekness and it is a reminder to those who are strong to exercise their strength in humility. This is only possible according to the state of the heart, hence the adage, “it is the heart and not the horns that leads a ram to bully”. Therefore strength and Humility resides in the heart and not only on what we see physically on the outside.
The University of Cape coast is a very vibrant intellectual community, and one of the very best tertiary institutions in Ghana. A lot can be said about The University of Cape coast in terms of educational and intellectual success. This and all other can be attributed to the state of the heart of the University, which is the Library (Sam Jonah Library).
A library is a collection of sources of information and similar resources made accessible to a defined community for reference or borrowing.
It provides physical or digital access to material; it could be a physical building or room, or a virtual space or both. Without deny the Library can be said to be the heart of the University, because it (Library) assists the University to the attainment of set goals and objectives. It (Library) carries and keeps the institution through its mission and vision by; Providing a peaceful and serene environment for studies, the library also provides common areas to facilitate group study and collaboration.
It (Library) provides services or materials to all students including those who choose not to – or cannot afford to purchase an extensive collection themselves as their study requires. And also to them who need materials which no individual is reasonably expected to have or who require professional assistance with their research.
In addition to providing materials, Libraries also provide the services of Librarians who are experts at finding and organizing information and interpreting information need. Libraries extend services beyond the physical walls of the building by providing material accessible by electronic means, and providing the assistance of librarians in navigating and analyzing very large amounts of information with a variety of digital tools.
Therefore if The University of Cape coast is a strong intellectual community it is as a result of the heart (Sam Jonah Library). Hence the meaning of the design “The pillar of UCC” This cloth is inspired by highly symbolic African symbols and designs. Textile production is one of the oldest means or channels of expressing and portraying our culture, therefore it is very important that our designs portray highly philosophical cultural ideas and scenes. The pattern is made up of the symbol “Dwannimmen” with dot and line patterns on each symbol to better explain the philosophy, enhance creativity and eliminate boredom.
For every symbol, there is a dot in the middle symbolizing the heart according to the statement accompanying the symbol i.e “it is the heart and not the horns that leads a ram to bully”
A dot is a point or a small round spot, the outer circumference of the dot makes a circle which symbolizes purity, it stands for all things that are sacred and pertain to God, it also means female embrace and peace. therefore it has a connection or a resemblance to a mans heart.
The idea of Lines was incorporated because they always serve as a link or connection between two things. in our natural environment we see roads, foot paths, rivers, gutters, electric pools etc as natural and artificial forms or lines but they all serve their purpose connecting to a source or a place.
However, the dot and line pattern was used to explain that the heart of UCC i.e Sam Jonah Library, represented by the dot in the middle of the symbol is connected to, or influences all faculties, departments and every single individual in the institution. it explains that the pace of the institution is determined by Sam Jonah Library

Reflection
Reflection is a relief sculpture. It is a combination of two production techniques in sculpture that is Assemblage and construction and Carving. Behavioural attitudes and personality traits is peculiar to every individual and significant to each person, however some people's attitude and
behaviour causes other people to wonder the reasons for their actions and their thoughts. The Work titled Reflection is a sculpture piece aimed at enlightening people about the causes of some people's behaviour or character, it tells us that we are a reflection of the values we adopt from our parents through the environment they introduce us to, like neighbourhood, school, conditions at home and the family at large. The idea was inspired by an Akan adage which goes “Okoto nwu anomaa” which literally means a crab cannot produce a bird at birth; a crab can only give birth to its kind. It means people only reflect what has influenced their lives from where they come from.

Angular curves (The sweet & the Sour)
Depicts two women partially naked in a contraposto position with beads around their waist and one’s neck. they both wear a piece of cloth covering their genitals known in Akan as “Danta” which is a historical style of dressing by the people of the Akan tribe. on their heads are pots and before them at their feet are two pots and a calabash. They present themselves in the act of fetching water which is one of the main chores carried out by women during the historical days of the people of the Akan Tribe. They seem to be flaunting their bodies while they communicate.
Women generally are known for their curves especially in the African setup. Curves and cleavage is one thing that seems to attract most men. Because of their curves women are linked to circle or sphere which means perfection. However the curves and cleavages of the women are depicted in a cubist form with angular shapes and lines. The concept of this piece
is to admonish the general public that everyone has a weakness.

Embrace
Embrace is the act of holding someone closely in one’s arms, especially as a sign of affection, love or sympathy or greeting or goodbye. The concept was to produce an expression of embrace in sculpture (in the round/Free standing figure) with height 30cm.

Country Side
Country side seeks to express the breeze of nature which is often described as refreshing and invigorating, providing a sensory experience that rejuvenates both body and mind. As it gently brushes against the skin, the breeze carries with it the subtle scents of flora and the earthy aroma of soil, creating a multisensory connection to the natural world. This connection to nature, often referred to as "biophilia," emphasizes our innate affinity for the outdoors and its elements.
Heavy Love Poster Design
I have always had a great passion for art and have never stopped loving it. As an artist, I have a keen eye for creativity in everything I see. Throughout my education, I have enjoyed tremendous support from my parents in my area of study. Having completed my studies in art and education at the university and gained work experience, I have developed a broader view and concept that the inclusion of art and creativity in all fields of study or career endeavors, such as engineering, computer science, medicine, business, marketing, etc., yields effective and efficient results.
My passion for art has been a driving force in my life, and I have always been inspired by the creativity and imagination that it brings. I believe that art is not just a skill or talent, but a way of life that can be applied to any field or career. Art has elements of skill, just like learning to write an essay or playing football has techniques. If you never learn those basic skills and steps, then of course, you will have limited skill. But, if your education incorporates those techniques and skills, you will become more skillful. Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain by Betty Edwards also proves that "art as talent" is a fallacy.
In summary, my passion for art has been a driving force in my life, and I believe that the inclusion of art and creativity in all fields of study or career endeavors yields effective and efficient results.

The Triumphs of an African Woman
In this painting, I delve into the multifaceted experiences of women across the African continent. This artwork serves as a poignant reflection on the resilience, strength, and unwavering determination exhibited by African women as they navigate through life's challenges.
Throughout history, African women have been confronted with societal norms and cultural expectations that often seek to confine them to traditional roles and limit their opportunities for personal and professional growth. Despite these barriers, African women emerge as resilient forces, defying stereotypes and overcoming adversity with grace and fortitude.
Through layers of symbolism and rich imagery, "The Triumphs of an African Woman" celebrates the victories and accomplishments of women who persistently strive for success, even in the face of stigmatization and marginalization. From balancing the responsibilities of home and family to pursuing education, employment, and entrepreneurship, African women exemplify perseverance and resilience in their quest to carve out a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
This painting serves as a tribute to the indomitable spirit of African women, honoring their courage, perseverance, and boundless potential. It is my hope that through this artwork, viewers will gain a deeper appreciation for the remarkable contributions of African women to society and recognize the inherent strength and beauty that resides within each and every one of them.
