Reflection is a relief sculpture. It is a combination of two production techniques in sculpture that is Assemblage and construction and Carving. Behavioural attitudes and personality traits is peculiar to every individual and significant to each person, however some people's attitude and
behaviour causes other people to wonder the reasons for their actions and their thoughts. The Work titled Reflection is a sculpture piece aimed at enlightening people about the causes of some people's behaviour or character, it tells us that we are a reflection of the values we adopt from our parents through the environment they introduce us to, like neighbourhood, school, conditions at home and the family at large. The idea was inspired by an Akan adage which goes “Okoto nwu anomaa” which literally means a crab cannot produce a bird at birth; a crab can only give birth to its kind. It means people only reflect what has influenced their lives from where they come from.
